The Holy Hag Picks You: Seance & Art Installation by Seeress MuggaRose

  • New Orleans Pharmacy Museum 514 Chartres Street New Orleans, LA, 70130 United States (map)

"The unseen is to be seen through divination."

The evening at the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum begins with each guest receiving a personal divination card & herbal spell bag as their personal atlas for the evening. With Seeress MuggaRose, we gather around the Seance Table as she shares the traditions around Poppets: as folklore practices used in medical charts in the past, as talismans and healing tools, in traditions for the bereaved, and as a right of passage and altarpiece for accomplishments.

A seance will follow in order to connect with the Holy Hag Spirits as well as those of the Pharmacy Museum. Each guest will receive a private message during a one-on-one divination with Seeress MuggaRose.

Here, we close the circle.

"The Holy Hag picks you." Your divination card will match that of the Holy Hag who picks you. Should you feel called to adopt her, each Holy Hag is priced at $111 and is a limited edition, handcrafted, and one-of-a-kind poppet.

About the Holy Hags: Each herbal-infused poppet is hand-sculpted and dressed in vintage textiles & handstitched threads. They are bathed in essential oils for summoning spirit (evocation), blessed in a smoke bath, and then placed on a bed of Spanish moss from the infamous Dueling Oak.

About Seeress MuggaRose (Cheyanne Dise'):
Seeress MuggaRose is a full-time Psychic, Evidential Medium, Artist, Spiritualist & Ceremonialist in New Orleans with over 30 years of devotional study & experience. MuggaRose's gifts in the metaphysical began in her teenage years, first guided by her mother in California during the 1980s.
In 2003, a prolific encounter prioritized Cheyanne's focus on the parapsychology studies that inspired a devotional practice, leading to her service to others today. For many years, Cheyanne lead paranormal tours & investigations in Seattle's Pike Place Market, including producing a public-access Paranormal Show, Ill Famed Spirits
MuggaRose's zines and art have been shown, collected, and published in Japan, Canada, Europe, and nationally in the U.S. since 1992. Reminders that "we are not alone" persist in her work through creating and continuing to remain curious about both new eras and the folklore around heritage and ancestry. She has taken her experiences and created her own Grimoire Chapbook, "Sundries of the Soul: Taking your third eye to the metaphysical gymnasium," that will be released later this year.

A limited number of tickets will go on sale Sunday, February 2nd and can be purchased through the Pharmacy Museum's website. You can learn more about Seeress MuggaRose and her work by visiting kookteflon.com.
