Specialty Guided Tour: Winter Afflictions & Traditions

  • New Orleans Pharmacy Museum 514 Chartres Street New Orleans, LA, 70130 United States (map)

Bonne Sante! As 19th century New Orleanians recovered from the troublesome summers and readied themselves for the coming Carnival season, December offered a moment of restoration and reprieve. Join us as we explore the traditions of Reveillon dinners, the medicinal virtues of good food and good drink, and the anxieties that lurked in the frigid winter air. This specialty tour will explore a historic pharmacy shopping list, with all its naughty and nice purchases. Drinks provided, holiday spirit guaranteed.

Enjoy a light cocktail and tour the museum's first floor of exhibits before shopping at the museum's Winter Market.

*Alcoholic beverages will be available to all guests over 21. A non-alcoholic option will also be available.
